This is Crafty CiCi again! This time Nana and I are making a Snow globe. I take after my great papa and I LOVE snow globes. So Nana and I thought it would be fun to make a snow globe within a snow globe. It only took Nana and I 15 minutes to make our Snow Globe and Nana said it cost $3.
We needed a few things to make one:
- A jar with a big opening to fit another snow globe into it.
- Hot glue and hot glue gun
- Spray paint for lid
- A small snow globe
- A small bottle of glitter
That is all we need. Nana and I made a trip to the Dollar Store and we love to look at the Snow globes there. She will always buy me a little one for my collection. This time there was only one snow globe left, a Rino snow globe. I love animals so it was really neat.
This is how we made my favorite snow globe of all:
Nana spray painted the top of the jar a few times (she really doesn’t like to spray paint lids)
I filled the jar most of the way with water
The best part was when I poured in the glitter. Nana let me put in two colors.
Nana took the hot glue gun and put a lot of hot glue on the bottom of the Rino snow globe. She then set it in the middle of the completely dried jar lid. I held it there until it stuck really good.
After the little snow globe stuck on the jar lid, Nana and I turned it upside down and inside the big jar of water. Then Nana screwed the lid on tight.
I can’t use the hot glue gun because it is too hot so Nana glued the jar lid on the jar so it stays on forever.
Then we were done with my best snow globe yet because I made it with my Nana! We made it special because it was two snow globes.
