Elegantly distressed is the only way to describe the Camdon Armchair. This is an armchair that takes an antiqued look and turns it modern. The solid mango wood of this chair is carved into an elaborate mess of straight lines. The design in the back of the chair is repeated in the arms of the chair. This chair is enclosed by the wood of the chair, air is free to flow through the chair because the designs are not filled with cushion or covered with material. The elegant designs that fill the back and arms of this chair is at odds with the distinctly distressed red finish. The red finish of the mango wood is highlighted with black undertones and peeks of the natural color of the mango wood. The contrast this gives to the chair is startling and elegant.
The coloring of the mango wood is highlighted by the steel gray woven seat cushion. The dark color of the cushion reminds people of the function of this designer chair. The bottom of the chair is amply padded for comfort and feels delightfully different than the back of the chair. Those that see this chair in any room will be drawn to it because it’s a mass of contrasting differences. The cushioned seat of this chair is a dark backdrop for a delightfully open arm and back. Sitting in this chair makes most think of what it was like to sit amongst royalty. The Camdon Armchair is royalty among others.
